It's commonly known that Elvis was very interested by the law enforcement. He collected badges from different police forces, and even wore them on stage on a rare occasion. This picture, which looks like it was taken in a police office, dates from December 29th 1970. On this Sunday he drove to Tupelo, to collect another badge from sheriff Bill Mitchell. Elvis knew Mitchell from back when he was a child, when Mitchell played fiddle in the band led by Mississippi Slim on radio station WELO.
