has died at the Mater private hospital in Dublin"

The 64-year-old took ill at his home in Foxrock, Dublin on Christmas night and died just after 3pm on Boxing Day from a suspected brain haemorrhage.
 

A former show band singer, Joe Dolan enjoyed musical success for over 40 years in Ireland and around the world. 

From Mullingar in Westmeath, he was best known for hits such as Good Looking Woman and Make Me an Island. He also featured in his live stage shows songs associated with Elvis such as "Suspicious Minds and "Always On My Mind"
